Nintendo Wants Regular Release Of 3DS Games And Handheld Consoles In Developing Countries

Unlike Nintendo DS and Wii before it, the forthcoming 3DS will be getting a more regular release schedule of games, says Nintendo. Nintendo has been known for quality games on their consoles even though it always lack the technology of its competitors. With the 3DS, however, the company wants a more consistent release of games - unlike in the DS wherein there were times (especially last year) when there were no releases at all. 

Will this method make the games suffer quality content in place of quantity?

Furthermore, it seems that as another company is targeting the casual market, Nintendo eyes a totally different segment - the gamers of developing countries. Nintendo intends to bring the handheld to the countries outside their current territories - North America, Japan and Europe. This is an insight from the company's CEO, Satoru Iwata who believes the developing countries are important in the gaming industry in the future.
