New Pokemon in Pokemon X and Y
How many Pokemon are there in Pokemon X and Y? The new game from GameFreak features additional new Pokemon set to expand the current roster of 649 Pokemon to around 700 or more(?). I listed below the new Pokemon that will first appear in the 6th generation of Pokemon games.
Note: This page is constantly updated for new information whenever new Pokemon are revealed for Pokemon X and Y.
New Pokemon
Chespin
Type: Grass
Classification: Shelled Chestnut Pokemon
Chespin is one of the first Pokemon introduced in the game. It is a starter Pokemon.
Fennekin:
Type: Fire
Classification: Fox Pokemon
Chespin is also a starter Pokemon with the fire-typing.
Froakie
Type: Water
Classification: Bubble Frog Pokemon
Froakie is first introduced when Pokemon X and Y are first revealed.
Sylveon
Type: not yet revealed
Classification: not yet revealed
Sylveon is a brand new Pokemon and another evolution of Eevee. It is still unknown how the Pokemon evolves from Eevee as well as its type.
Pancham
Type: Fighting
Classification: Naughty Pokemon
This Pokemon resembles a panda. It is first revealed in May 2013 in a CoroCoro magazine leak. It knows a brand new move - Parting Remark
Fletchling
Type: Normal/Flying
Classification: Japanese Robin Pokemon
This Flying Pokemon knows the move "Nitro Charge". I feel that this Pokemon will be the default flying Pokemon at the start of the game.
Gogoat
Type: Grass
Classification: Ride Pokemon
The player can ride on Gogoat's back in Miare city.
Helioptile
Type: Electric / Normal
Classification: Generating Pokemon
This is a Lizard Pokemon with a rare type combination. It knows the move "Parabola Charger". This move can damage the opponent while at the same time healing the user.
New Pokemon Forms
New Mewtwo Form
Type: Psychic
Classification: Not yet revealed
Mewtwo has a new form in Pokemon X and Y. It is still unconfirmed if it is an evolution or another form though.
Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon X and Y
2 legendary Pokemon are already introduced for Pokemon X and Y. They are Xerneas and Yveltal. It is expected that the new generation of Pokemon games will also feature more Legendary Pokemon apart from the 2 mentioned above. N-Handhelds, your Pokemon blog has a separate page for legendary Pokemon here.
Keep in mind that I will be updating this post as information on new Pokemon are revealed. Stay tuned here on N-Handhelds, your Pokemon blog, for more Pokemon X and Y information. Also, please visit our Pokemon X and Y Page.
