If you have lived in the 90s, perhaps, there is a thing inside you that will ring a bell when someone would say Final Fantasy. Yup. Final Fantasy - a franchise whose first game would have been it's designer - Hironobu Sakaguchi's last game had it not sold well. And boy did it produced massive success for Square that numerous iterations later - here we are, 25 years of fantastic RPG from the franchise that started the craze in the 90s, and will go on to become the foundation of the genre today.

And surprisingly, Square Enix choose to release a music game to celebrate the franchise's 25 years - more so on a Nintendo handheld. Nintendo - whose consoles haven't received a main Final Fantasy game since 1994. Is this some sort of a hint? That the next game in the franchise will see a Nintendo iteration?

Theatrythm: Final Fantasy 25 years
Theatrythm: Final Fantasy for the Nintendo 3DS brings forth only the best music in all of the series' iterations - yes, even the spinoffs and sequels. As cute as the characters are, one cannot deny the rich music that the game packs in. Gotta give credit to Nobuo Uematsu for the majority of it

The music - something that Final Fantasy is best known for.

The richness of Final Fantasy's music is perhaps one of its stronger points. My personal favorite being Celes' theme from Final Fantasy VI. In all, Theatrythm is not just a cute game, not just another Final Fantasy game.

It is trip down memory lane. Nostalgia - as you may say it.

What is your favorite Final Fantasy game?

Release Information:
