Marth is in Fire Emblem: Awakening, But Is He The One We Know?

In the latest of issue of Jump, there is a sort of confirmation that Marth from the original Fire Emblem game, and perhaps best know in the west for his inclusion in Smash Bros. Brawl, will be in Fire Emblem: Awakening. But the community questions if he is really the Marth we know.

You can screw for the moment my lack of Japanese knowledge. You see, in the news section of Serene Forest, it was noted that the "Marth" we are talking about right now is the one from the original Fire Emblem series, who is also the star in the second game and the remake Shadow Dragon. However, when we take a look at the comments section of that news, the forumers at Serene Forest are discussing if he really Marth or not, noting the difference in the "Falchion," Marth's sword and other things. The description was:

"A swordmsman who introduces themselves as the legendary hero Marth. They wield a sword similar to the Falchion." - from SereneForest commenter Ishtar

It looks like a direct translation. Remember that in Japanese, there's no specific word for the pronoun "he" or "she" which will validate why the word "they" is in the sentence.

This is one of those moments where I want to learn the language immediately. :( Anyway, Fire Emblem: Awakening will come out soon in Japan. That means we will know more details in the coming days!
