Level 5's Girl's RPG Sales Not Expected By Level 5

Too many high profile bombs for Level 5 lately. Now, Girl's RPG, which has so many guest appearances, such as Tuxedo Mask, is suffering from slow sales.

As reported by Andriasang, Girl's RPG only has a 31% sell out, meaning almost 70% of the shipments was not sold. This is considering the big marketing push the company puts forth in the game - advertisements, having celebrities played the game, guest appearances of characters from other video games. It has all the essential to instill to the Japanese public that this game will be big. It must be. But it didn't.

In last week's weekly video game sales, it landed at number 12. And since I only listed the top 10, it wasn't there. Prior to the release date, Level 5 cuts the price of the game to ensure that more people will be likely to buy it. It didn't.

However, this doesn't mean that everything's over for the game. Level 5 games tend to have a longer shelf life. Some have also started slow but then sales become steady and eventually will have around 500,000 in sales. So I'm not counting it out.

I am just worried for Professor Layton X Ace Attorney. Actually.
