They Want Us To Feel Good When We Play Monster Hunter 4

In the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game, Monster Hunter 4, Capcom went into great lengths to add new elements and more.

Three concepts have been raised during the development of Monster Hunter 4. First, the action parts have been revised. Next, they thought of the game as a communication tool, and finally, they try to expand the worldview of the series.

"Since this time it’s a newly numbered title, it was a little different, and so as a new element, we’ve decided to implement an action that utilizes the difference in elevation."

To the developers of the game, adding new monsters won't make the cut. What they did is to create a sense of "feeling good" to the player while playing the game. I think "feeling good" while playing the game is a case to case basis. One may be comfortable playing 3G Ultimate but not with Portable 3rd. There are different kinds of gamers, and now, more people are also into Monster Hunter. That kind of universal feeling is something that is sometimes hard to achieve, though it looks like the developers have carefully planned it. Will they succeed this time around in making all those players who play the game to feel good? We will found out when Monster Hunter comes to Japan on September 14
