The most recent Nintendo Direct in Japan tells us new information for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game, Ace Attorney 5. Some new features and details which we have already know in the past are all mentioned in this Nintendo Direct:
- Initial plot involves the courtroom being destroyed, with Phoenix being tasked to investigate
- New prosecutors, including Payne's brother (oh, God)
- New assistant, named Kizuki, who'll be using the heart scope system
Most important of all, at least for me, is the appearance of Klavier Gavin and Pearl. If you're an Ace Attorney fan, you'll know that Klavier is Apollo Justice's rival prosecutor in the game: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. He is also the guy who defeated Phoenix in his final trial before his badge was removed. I'm thinking that in cases involving Apollo, maybe he'll face Klavier again?
Pearl is Maya's cousin. She, along with Maya, helped Phoenix in some of his most difficult courtroom trials in the past. And since she is a spirit medium, maybe she'll channel again Wright's mentor, Mia Fey, herself? Wow. Ace Attorney 5 may be bringing some of the most popular characters back.
