The site where I get a lot of content regarding Japanese news is gone. Andriasang closes down after 4 long years of supreme coverage of Japanese gaming news.
This was announced by the site's sole writer, programmer, editor, and moderator Anoop in a blog post which turns out to be the final one in the site. He noted:
I really feel so sad about this sudden turn of events. I visited the site in an almost-daily visit and was interested because of a lot of things:
1. Andriasang's page loads fast
2. No-fuss writing in such a way that engage the users of his site. The way Anoop incorporates humor in such a way that only his readers can understand, it is really something.
3. Lightning quick translations of Japanese gaming news. Heard a press release in another site? It's likely it gets the content from Andriasang.
4. He writes for a niche. Andriasang is your go-to site for all Japanese video gaming news and other stuff in between. If you like JRPG's go there. If you are into Hatsune Miku, Anoop has the coverage.
5. You are sure that you are not reading a PR, just like some big blogs out there.
Andriasang will be missed. I just wished that more Japanese gaming news will be covered elsewhere, just like the awesome Siliconera site and Anime News Network.
