Hatsune Miku Lands at No. 2 In This Week's Japan Video Game Sales


It looks like it's one hell of a week in the Japanese charts. We have so many anticipated releases that everyone has his or her own favorite to land on the charts. Well, the gamers have spoken and our 3ds blog will present to you this week's top 10.

March 5 - March 11 Japan Video Game Charts



3DS Games Dominates

01. One Piece Pirate Musou : 90,133 (745,907)(PS3)
02. Hatsune Miku and Future Stars Project Mirai : 86,676 (NEW)(3DS)
03. Street Fighter X Tekken : 58,471 (NEW)(PS3) 
04. Gundam UC : 51,669 (NEW)(PS3)
05. Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D : 38,374 (NEW)(3DS)
06. Mario & Sonic at London Olympics : 23,587 (66,741)(NDS)
07. Mario Kart 7 : 17,813 (1,564,025)(3DS)
08. Super Mario 3D Land : 17,336 (1,403,654)(3DS)
09. Harvest Moon Hajimari no Daichi : 16,378 (124,886)(3DS)
10. Monster Hunter 3G : 14,286 (1,297,797)(3DS)

As we can see from above, the Nintendo 3DS dominated the entire charts, something that didn't happen last year. We can see above anticipated releases such as Hatsune Miku and Street Fighter X Tekken. The Big 3 - Super Mario 3D Land, Monster Hunter 3G, and Mario Kart 7 are still in the charts.

No Major Shake Up in Hardware

In the hardware department, the Nintendo 3DS is still at the top followed by the PS3. The Playstation Vita sold around 10,000 units. That was about 5,000 units less than the PSP.
