As reported by NintendoWorldReport, The Big-N expects at least 900,000 units ship all throughout Europe for the first three weeks of launch.
How big is Europe by the way? Big. REaaaalll BiiG!
Nintendo also expects 4 - 5 million sales in the first year of the Nintendo 3DS. That figure is quite greater than what the sales of the DS was in its first year which was close to 4 million after 10 months.
With a price tag of £230, I still don't know if the handheld console will have difficulty in reaching that point or not. At least we know that the 3DS is coming in a matter of weeks!
