Some other reasons to envy Japan's Bravely Default: Flying Fairy - demos and design.
The Demo
The Quest
Siliconera played this Nintendo 3DS game's final demo which lets you control the characters Tiz, Agnes, Edea, and Ringabel. This demo is about quests, jobs, and level ling up. You can get their impressions here. These demos are Square Enix's way of getting fan feedback from the fans which they can incorporate to the final product.
The Social Aspect
Another interesting aspect discussed is the "town building system" wherein you send townpeople to separate quests which can take mere minutes to hours in real time. What's more is that if you wish to finish these quests quickly, you can can do this by collecting more townsfolk via StreetPass.
So, more Nintendo 3DS handhelds you encounter, more townsfolk and shorter quest durations. And in Japan, you can expect Nintendo 3DSes everwhere - from the house next door to train platforms and trains themselves.
Special Costume
In a separate report from Siliconera, you can register the game's serial code on Square Enix Members and you can received a special costume designed by Tomonori Fukuda, character designer for Robotics; Notes. Now, let's just hope we can knock on SE's doors to deliver this game here - with or without the special costume. It's beautiful, but the game's localization is more important. I can live with just that.
