Mario Kart 7 Races to Number1 in Japan - Video Game Sales For the Week 2011 November 28 - December 4

Week after week, either the Nintendo 3DS or a 3DS software is making it big in Japan. Last week, its Mario Kart 7's turn to impress us with outstanding sales only a Mario game can always deliver.

In the software department, Mario Kart 7 races at the top of Japan's video game charts with 423,619 copies while Super Mario 3D Land rises to number 3. 2 DS games are in the top 20, with One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 selling around 16,000 copies.

In the hardware department, nothing much is new. The 3DS is still on top while the PS3 is trailing behind. The numbers are pretty interesting right now. In a matter of 7 days, the Playstation Vita will launch and let us all wait and see how this event will shake Japan's sales charts.
