Shigeru Miyamoto Accepts Hall of Fame Award for the Legend of Zelda at Spike VGA 2011

Update: Watch the clip below!

Aww. This is so sweet. Despite all the rumours, the public see the extraordinary man himself at Spike TV Video Game Awards 2011 to accept an award for the franchise he created.

Shigeru Miyamoto, current Senior Managing Director at Nintendo, and the man behind Super Mario and the Legend of Zelda, stepped on the VGA stage to accept the hall of fame award for the Legend of Zelda series.
He took the stage like a champ, coming out of the floor and fog to accept the applause and eventually a standing ovation. His peers looked on in adoration. - Destructoid
And of course, this man is widely respected by his peers, and even Nintendo stockholders were keen that the company should not lose this guy. Maybe his presence is proof enough that Nintendo can still deliver the quality games only they can deliver if Miyamoto is still with them.

And his appearance at Spike TV's Video Game Awards is proof enough. It's such a shame that I can't talk about the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword in this 3DS blog of mine. But whatever....

Zelda all the way~
