Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Owners Might Soon Give Game Gifts to Other Users

Someone at Nintendo Force magazine hinted on a cross-platform functionality between the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U with regards to virtual console game. NWR mentioned in a post:

"The Wii U and 3DS may be getting the ability to gift games to other users, as well as the ability to play Virtual Console titles on both systems, later this year."

Emily Rodgers, editor at Nintendo Force Magazine mentioned that in a tweet (I cannot see the Tweet, and I'm too busy right now to search for it. I'll just take NWR's word for it). The Nintendo 3DS already has a number of virtual console games under its belt. But giving games for free? Wow. Who doesn't want free anyway right? :)

Still, I think it is just a rumor. Or perhaps I have not been looking at the news lately.

Still don't have a Nintendo 3DS? Check out Play-Asia.
Also, check out N-Handheld's Nintendo 3DS games release schedule.
