The Pokemon company has just revealed the upcoming Pokemon film's official title: Extreme Speed Genesect and the Awakening of Mewtwo.
Mewtwo?!
Yes, you've read it right. Looks like the 150th Pokemon is making its official return to the movie screens since the first movie : Mewtwo Strikes Back. But what could it be doing in this new movie? Apparently we still don't know, as we were just treated with a brand new trailer with no reference whatsoever to Mewtwo:
The trailer almost implies Genesect being resurrected from a fossil and being experimented upon by Team Plasma, the primary antagonist group in the 5th Generation of Pokemon games. This of course, bears a resemblance with Mewtwo's background story. We may not know now, but we will in the future!
