Monster Hunter 3G Becomes Monster Hunter Ultimate

Monster Hunter 3G is coming to both the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U in North America this 2013. This is confirmed in the Wii U Presentation that happened last week.

According to the press release from Capcom, with the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U's touch screen features, we can quickly access in-game books, weapons, field maps, and mini games. And oh looks like the game is running on Capcom's MT Framework, the latest one.

It is also revealed that players can exchange inormation via StreetPass. But of course we know that a hundred years ago since Monster Hunter 3G has been out in Japan since last year. But that is for the Nintendo 3DS. In the meantime, the Wii U version will come to Japan on launch day.

What raised my brows while reading the release was the absence of any mention about downloadable quests, which was rather replaced by an local wireless functionality. Hmm, that's different from the Japanese version.

Furthermore, since it will have a Wii U version, you can exchange game data from both consoles, or you can have you and your partners play together - one is on the Wii U, while the other is on the 3DS.
