3DS XL and Mario at the Top of Japan's Sales Charts
This week in Japan, New Super Mario Bros. 2 tops the charts with 407, 503 copies of the game. These are physical copies, mind you.
Here's the entire top ten in Japan's video game charts this week:
1. Super Mario Bros. 2 - [3DS - 407,503]
2. Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena (Persona 4 Arena) - [PS3 - 128,485]
3. Mayuta no Kiseki - [PSP - 74,860]
4. Pokémon Black 2/White - [DS - 73,420]
5. Super Dangan Ronpa 2: Sayonara Zetsubō Gakuen - [PSP - 69,000]
6. Just Dance Wii 2 - [Wii - 60,121]
7. 5 - Minute Training Oni - [3DS - 40,272]
8. Digimon World Re: Digitize - [PSP - 31,037]
9. Hoshi no Kirby 20th Anniversary Special Collection - [Wii - 29,367]
10. The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? - [PS3 - 25,753]
As you can see, most of the games in the charts are new entries, but while the effect on the new download system that Nintendo has implemented to some of their games, it is still unclear if it has negative impact on the charts.
On the hardware side, the new Nintendo 3DS XL or Nintendo 3DS LL in Japan top the charts. The Nintendo 3DS maintains the same sales figure as last week while the others took a little decline.
