Here in the 2nd part of this blog's Pokemon Conquest Walkthrough, we visit 2 more kingdoms - Greenleaf and Fontaine and then work our way to beat their Warlords. Let us check it out now after the break:
2 GreenLeaf Kingdom
Here at Greenleaf kingdom, you only have 15 turns to defeat the opposing party. But this battle is a little different, your task is to claim the three banners in the field rather than defeating the enemies. If you want to recruit the warriors, you still have to beat them in 4 turns. My advice is that you go after the Pokemon you want to have in your team first. If you wanted Snivy, however, you need your created character to be the one to beat him, and not just your recruits. Here are some other tips:
- Watch out for secret passages, those patches of grass, if you "Wait" there, the pokemon will go underground to appear in another section of the field. One of the nearest grass patch will transport you directly to the farthest banner to the right. I recommend you have eevee and a fire pokemon in that area.
- Split your groups into 2. Both groups should have fire pokemon with them.
Claim the banners, but beat the Pokemon you wish to recruit in 4 turns, and you will win the battle. I personally go with Pansage.
2. 1 Greenleaf Shops
In Greenleaf there are shops, a place to recruit Pokemon, and also a mining area where you can dig gold. Just take a warrior and his pokemon there and they will dig automatically.
2.2 Strength
You will be told that to increase the strength of your Pokemon, you have to fight other pokemon. That includes the wild pokemon that are in caves, not just the pokemon with warlords in a castle fight.
3 Fontaine
In the kingdom of Fontaine, Water-Type pokemon are king. You have to employ not just strength in order to win this battle
3.1 Battlefield
There is a river that separates your party and the opposing party. Now that river's water is controlled by "switches" which you can use to control the flow of the water. If you have a Pokemon wait there, the switch will either let the water flow, or stop it from flowing. There are four switches in the field. You can immediately control two of those. If you let a Pokemon wait there and the river stops flowing, make sure to move your Pokemon across the river to the other side. If you let a Pokemon stay in the river's path, and then the river starts flowing, the pokemon will receive damage.
There is also a fountain which will gush water if a pokemon is in a space adjacent to it. It's better to leave that area out.
3.2 Strategy
Apart from the tips above, you need to employ grass types. If you have recruited pansage, it can attach two enemies at once with his vine whip. If you recruited some sewaddles, position them in the switches. Your eevee should attack and must be capable of receiving lots of damage too. Defeat the "main" warlord in 4 turns with your eevee to be able to recruit him, other wise he will run away. Defeat the other warlords in 4 turns with any pokemon and they will be recruitable at the end.
4 Narrative
After beating Fontaine, you will be treated to another narrative. You will find out that there are many kingdoms in Ransei and that the entire region is on the brink of destruction. The reason for this is the warlord named Nobunaga who set out to conquer all of Ransei region all to have the legendary pokemon with him. If you can find the legendary pokemon before he does, perhaps you can stop him. Narrative ends.
4. 1 Next Frontier
The next three kingdoms are Pugilis, Chrysalis, and Violight. We will discuss them in another post.
