Capcom's Svensson Shoots Down Unsourced Tweet Re: Monster Hunter 3G

Monster Hunter 3G Box
This is today's OMG News. This is the case of Monster Hunter 3G and its English localization. When all seemed lost, the drama suddenly continues.

Most of us have probably seen, or at least read about that tweet from an analyst which mentioned that Monster Hunter 3G will not be localize because the sales of the Wii game, which is Monster Hunter Trii, wasn't that big.

And the tweet spread like wildfire, until it reaches Capcom-Unity, the only place in the Internet where it is 99% sure that your Capcom-related questions can get answered by a Capcom employee.

So basically, a member ask about it in the forums, and voila, SVP Christian Svensson replied rather curtly:
That thread is now closed. But the fact of the matter is that, Capcom directly confronted the message of the tweet by publicly telling the analyst: "Hey, you don't have a source on that, WE are the source, and we never said anything to that extent."

Freaking cool for Capcom, +1 to Mr. Svensson. Basically, I think, at this moment, they cannot announce that Monster Hunter 3G is going to be localized. BUT they also don't want to put a negative perception about the game on the fans. Remember, that this is Capcom, and they measure fan interest before bringing a game out.

All eyes will be on Capcom again and it is rather interesting to follow this localization news, so stay tuned. In the meantime, this blog has tons of articles regarding Monster Hunter 3G. Please do check it out.

Do you think Capcom will actually localize Monster Hunter 3G?
