Monster Hunter Reaches One Million Copies.


We'll start our coverage of Japan's video games sales starting from week 2 (sorry week 1.) Interestingly, it seems that Nintendo continues its dominance on the charts while 3DS softwares rule the top spots. Monster Hunter 3G finally reaches a million copies while Mario Kart 7 remains at number 1. Two DS games also appear at the top 20.

Japan's Video Games Sales for Week 2 (January 2 - 8, 2012)

1. Mario Kart 7 (3DS)
2. Super Mario 3D Land (3DS)
3. Monster Hunter 3 (3DS)
4. Inazuma Eleven go (Shine and Dark) (3DS)
5. Warriors Orochi 2 (PS3)
6. Just Dance Wii (Wii)

13. Nintendogs + Cats (3DS)
16. Magician’s Quest: The Stylish Wizard (NDS)
17. One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 (NDS)

In the hardware department the Nintendo 3DS and the PSP receive some robust sales while the PS Vita's sales looks like we will be looking at the same trend for the weeks to come.
