Super Mario 3D Land JUMPS to the Top of the Sales Charts (2011 October 31 - November 6)

Just as expected, the plumber does his job again for the house that he built. Super Mario 3D Land lands at number 1 in the Japanese sales charts last week. With 300,000 plus strong copies, Mario's 3D debut is also expected to earn more since, you know, it's Mario. :) Iwata-san and Shigs may be happy seeing this news. lol. I would like to get sales figures elsewhere in the world for Super Mario 3D Land too. So stay tuned. Meanwhile, Dragon Quest remains very very popular in Japan, with a spot at no. 7 and another 3DS game at no. 20.

After Super Mario 3D Land are Monster Hunter 3G and Mario Kart 7, two franchises which has proven themselves successful in the handheld consoles.
