Michael Jackson: the Experience - 3DS Preview and Beyond / Is Ubisoft Milking the MJ Cow?

Somewhere in the Internet, I have reviewed Michael Jackson: the Experience for the DS. With its EBA/Ouendan - style of gameplay, the game fell short of what was expected for a video game dedicated to the King of Pop. BUT you see, I am a Michael Jackson fan, and even with the shallow gameplay (the beats doesn't match to the circles that you have to touch,) I spent countless hours just tapping to Smooth Criminal on my every day bus ride.

I don't know if Ubisoft is milking the MJ cow because it seems to me that Michael Jackson: the Experience has been ported and available in EVERY console. It danced to the tune of 3 million in sales last April 2011. And at that time, the PS3 and Xbox 360 ports weren't even out.

And here comes Michael Jackson: the Experience for the Nintendo 3DS.

Now, you have the option of playing seeing Michael dance in 3D (or I guess you have watched the movie in 3D?) Now you will be using the stylus to mimic the dance moves and it looks to me that you can even chain the moves to open up some cool effects. There are portions in the songs where Michael goes "freestyle." In this mode, you can make your own dance moves based on Michael's existing roster of moves he popularized.

The graphics are nothing like that on the Nintendo DS. Of course it doesn't have the graphics like that on the PS3 but atleast it builds more on what we have seen on the DS.

On the Nintendo 3DS, you'll have more control on Michael than ever before.
