Fans of the MegaMan series were quick to point out that EX Troopers, the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game from Capcom has some noticeable similiraties with Mega Man Legends 3, which we all know, has been cancelled.
The anime-style of the EX Troopers was the noticeable one. And while this has been an ongoing discussion at Capcom-Unity, Capcom employee Seth Killian it wasn't the case. The primary point being the fact that EX Troopers was already in development before Mega Man Legends 3. His other point is that at that point in time when the Mega Man game was still in development, EX Troopers also is in dev, so they did not share project members.
He doesn't know, he admits, if some of those who were part of the Legends team are now part of EX Troopers team, which is being led by Shintaro Kojima, the producer of Monster Hunter.
Seriously, Capcom-Unity is a place for all things Capcom. If anyone wants info straight from them, and that information is not classified, then they will gladly share it.
It is worth pointing out a comment, however, at Siliconera, made by Repede91. I quoted:
There is an interview somewhere with Inafune where he says that Lost Planet 1/ M.T. Framework were developed with the possibility of Mega Man Legends 3 in mind, in case they ever got the go ahead from the Capcom higher-ups.
