It looks like this piece of news never came to my attention but here it is. While we where wondering before here in our 3DS blog if there is an international version of Maple Story DS, apparently, there is. But here's the catch - it's only in Japan.
Maple Story DS is a pocket-representation of the popular MMORPG Maple Story from Korea. The DS version, however, is a single-player game with some multiplayer features. While Nexxon never announce a U.S. release, Japan got its hands on Maple Story DS last year.
A very fun game, MapleStory is one of those games that poised me to try MMORPG. Who would have thought that the cutesy graphics, colorful background, and lush effects can work well on the Nintendo DS handheld.
