Japan's Video Game Sales Last Week Saw a Sales Drop

Yes guys, it seems that the money rush in Japan is over. Last week, sales of console systems in Japan fell. It was actually an expected thing. Especially now that the holidays are over.

PS3 - 30,332
PSP - 22,538
Vita - 18,361
Wii - 14,179
Xbox 360 - 1,519
DSi LL - 1,515
DSi - 1,206
PS2 - 766


As you can see from above, Playstation 2 sales slips to less than 1,000 units while the DS Lite is no longer to be found. It looks like Media-Create will no longer be tracking its sales. Goodbye old friend. :(


In the software front, 3DS and Wii games are still dominating the charts and have been doing this since Christmas. Nintendo magic works well during the season actually.
